Water regularly during the growing season, ensuring the soil is consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Reduce watering significantly as the foliage begins to yellow and die back after flowering, signalling the plant is entering dormancy.

Remove spent flowers immediately after they fade to prevent the plant from expending energy on seed production.

Once the foliage has completely yellowed and died back naturally in late spring or early summer, cut it down to the ground. This allows the bulb to store nutrients.

Propagation is primarily through offsets (bulblets) that form around the parent bulb. Carefully separate these small bulbs during the dormant season (late summer/early autumn) when repotting.

Replant them at the appropriate depth to grow into new flowering plants.

Tulips generally do not require frequent repotting when grown in garden beds. If grown in containers, bulbs can be lifted and replanted every 2-3 years during their dormant period in late summer or early autumn.
