Water deeply once a week during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogged conditions, which can lead to bulb rot.

Reduce watering in fall as the foliage begins to yellow and die back.

Remove spent flower stalks immediately after blooming to prevent seed formation and direct energy into the bulb. Cut back the remaining foliage once it has yellowed and died back naturally in late fall or early winter.

Do not cut green foliage prematurely.

Propagated primarily from offsets (bulblets) that form around the main bulb. Carefully separate these in fall or early spring. Alternatively, seeds can be sown in fall or stratified and sown in spring.

Division is the most common and effective method.

Repot lilies every 3-4 years, or when they become overcrowded. The best time to repot is in fall after the foliage has died back or in early spring before new growth appears.

Use a well-draining potting mix and plant bulbs about 15-20 cm deep.
