Water consistently to keep the soil evenly moist, but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings, especially during warmer months.

Reduce watering in cooler periods to prevent root rot, but do not let the plant completely dry out.

Prune back lightly after flowering to encourage bushier growth and a more compact form. Remove any dead or spent flower stalks to maintain an attractive appearance and prevent self-seeding if not desired.

Major pruning can be done in early spring.

Easily propagated from stem cuttings taken in spring or summer. Select healthy stems, remove lower leaves, and dip the cut end in rooting hormone.

Insert into moist potting mix or water and place in a warm, bright location out of direct sun.
