Prune to shape the tree, remove dead or diseased branches, and improve air circulation. Light pruning can be done any time of year, but major structural pruning is best in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Propagation is typically done through seeds, which require scarification and stratification. Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer, but germination rates can be variable.

Repot young trees every 2-3 years in spring. Mature trees rarely need repotting unless they become pot-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix suitable for tropical plants.
