Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Allow the soil to drain completely to prevent waterlogging. Reduce watering frequency during cooler months, allowing the soil to dry out more between waterings.

Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.

Prune to maintain shape and remove dead or damaged branches. Light pruning can be done at any time, but heavier pruning is best done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Pinch back new shoots to encourage bushier growth.

Propagate from seeds, which require scarification or soaking before sowing. Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer.

Ensure cuttings are placed in well-draining soil and kept in a warm, humid environment to encourage rooting.

Repot young plants every 1-2 years, and mature plants every 3-5 years, or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix. Repot in spring before the active growing season begins.
