Minimal pruning is generally required. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing stems as needed to maintain plant health and shape.

Pinching back the growing tips in early spring can encourage bushier growth and more abundant flowering.

Propagate from seeds sown directly into the garden after the last frost, or start indoors a few weeks prior. Seeds germinate best in warm soil.

Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in late summer, but seed propagation is more common.
