Sesuvium ayresii prefers to dry out slightly between waterings. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering significantly during cooler months to prevent root rot.

Ensure good drainage to avoid waterlogged conditions, as this succulent is sensitive to overwatering.

Pruning is primarily for shaping and controlling size. Trim leggy stems to encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead or damaged foliage promptly to maintain plant health and appearance.

Pruning can be done anytime, but is best after flowering or in early spring before active growth begins.

Sesuvium ayresii is easily propagated from stem cuttings. Take 4-6 cm cuttings, allow them to callus for a few days, and then plant them in well-draining soil.

Keep the soil slightly moist and provide bright, indirect light until roots develop. This can be done at any time of year, but spring is ideal.

Repot Sesuvium ayresii every 2-3 years, or when it outgrows its current container. Use a cactus or succulent potting mix with excellent drainage. Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one.
