Sheep Laurel prefers consistently moist, well-draining soil. Water deeply when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid waterlogged conditions, which can lead to root rot.

Reduce watering slightly during winter dormancy, but do not allow the soil to dry out completely.

Prune immediately after flowering to maintain shape and remove spent blooms. This also encourages bushier growth and more flowers next season. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches at any time of year.

Avoid heavy pruning unless absolutely necessary.

Propagation is typically done by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in mid-summer or by seed. Seeds require stratification and can be slow to germinate. Layering is another method.
