Branched Asphodel prefers dry conditions and is drought-tolerant once established. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, especially in winter.

Reduce watering significantly during its dormant period.

Pruning is primarily done to remove spent flower stalks and dead foliage. Cut back dead flower stems after flowering to prevent self-seeding if undesired.

Remove any yellowing or dead leaves at the base of the plant in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges.

Branched Asphodel can be propagated by division of clumps in early spring or autumn. Seeds can also be sown in spring, but germination may be erratic. Allow seeds to dry thoroughly before sowing.

Division is generally the more reliable method for established plants.

Repotting is rarely necessary for Branched Asphodel as it prefers to be slightly root-bound and dislikes disturbance. If repotting is absolutely needed, do so in early spring or autumn.

Use a well-draining, gritty compost mix and handle the fleshy roots with care to minimize damage.
