Reduce watering significantly during winter dormancy, allowing the soil to dry out more between waterings.

Pruning is minimal for Soda inermis, primarily for shaping or removing dead/damaged stems. Trim back in early spring before new growth begins to encourage a bushier habit.

Excessive pruning is generally not required and can detract from its natural form.

Propagation is typically achieved through stem cuttings. Take 4-6 cm cuttings from healthy stems in spring or early summer. Plant them in a well-draining, sandy medium and keep moist.

Rooting typically occurs within 2-4 weeks in warm conditions.
