Spring cress prefers consistently moist soil, especially during its active growth period in spring. Water thoroughly when the top centimeter of soil feels dry. Avoid waterlogged conditions, which can lead to root rot.

Reduce watering in summer dormancy, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Pruning is minimal for spring cress. After flowering, you can lightly trim back the plant to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage a denser growth habit. Remove any dead or damaged foliage at any time of year.

Heavy pruning is not typically necessary unless the plant becomes overgrown.

Spring cress can be easily propagated by seeds sown in early spring or autumn. It also readily self-seeds in suitable conditions. Division of established clumps in early spring or autumn is another effective method.
