Prune only to remove dead or damaged stems. This is usually not a frequently pruned plant. If propagation is desired, pruned stems can be used. Use a clean knife or scissors to make cuts.

Easily propagated from stem cuttings. Allow cuttings to callus over for a few days before planting in well-draining soil. Roots will form within a few weeks. Can also be grown from seed, though this is slower.
