Wolffiella gladiata thrives in consistently moist to submerged conditions. Maintain shallow standing water or very wet soil. Avoid letting the substrate dry out completely, as this can quickly stress and kill the plant.

Regular watering is crucial to mimic its natural habitat in shallow, still waters.

Pruning is not typically necessary for Wolffiella gladiata as it is a small, free-floating plant.

If it becomes excessively dense and shades itself out, you can simply remove some of the excess plant mass by skimming it off the surface. This can be done as needed to maintain a healthy population.

Propagation occurs readily through vegetative reproduction. The plant fragments and produces daughter plants that quickly detach. Simply allow the existing population to grow; new plants will form naturally.

You can also intentionally break off small pieces to start new colonies in separate containers.

Repotting is not applicable as Wolffiella gladiata is a rootless aquatic that floats on the water's surface or in very shallow water. If you wish to divide or move the plant, simply scoop out the desired amount and place it in a new suitable aquatic environment or container with water.
