Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feel dry to the touch. Allow excess water to drain completely to prevent root rot.

Reduce watering frequency during cooler months or when the plant is dormant, but never let the soil dry out completely.

Prune to maintain shape and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Pinch back new growth to encourage bushier development.

Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Propagate from seeds sown directly into well-draining soil after the last frost, or start indoors a few weeks prior. Cuttings can also be taken from healthy stems in spring or summer and rooted in moist soil or water.

Repot young plants annually in spring as needed. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years or when they become root-bound. Use a larger pot with fresh, well-draining potting mix.

Ensure the new pot has drainage holes.
