Forestiera angustifolia prefers well-drained soil and can tolerate short periods of drought once established, but avoid waterlogging which can lead to root rot.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light shaping can be done to maintain desired form and encourage denser foliage.

Avoid heavy pruning, as it can stress the plant.

Propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Dip the cuttings in rooting hormone and plant them in a well-draining medium. Keep moist and provide bottom heat for best results.

Seed propagation is also possible but can be slower and less reliable for specific traits.
