Heavy pruning is best done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins to encourage vigor.

Ixora pavetta can be propagated from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in late spring or early summer. Dip the cuttings in rooting hormone and plant them in a well-draining potting mix.

Keep them consistently moist and warm until roots form, usually within 6-8 weeks.

Repot every 2-3 years in spring when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining, slightly acidic potting mix. Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one.
