Water moderately when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Allow soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering significantly during winter dormancy.

Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot, especially in poorly draining soils.

Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches at any time of the year.

Heavy pruning is generally not required but can be done in early spring before new growth begins.

Propagate from seed sown in spring or semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require stratification.

Cuttings should be placed in well-draining compost and kept moist and warm in a propagator or covered with a plastic bag.

Repot every 2-3 years in spring, or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a standard potting soil with added perlite or sand. Choose a pot only slightly larger than the current one.
