Pruning is generally not required for Umbilicus gaditanus. Remove any dead or damaged leaves as needed to maintain the plant's appearance and health.

If the plant becomes leggy, a light trim can encourage bushier growth, but this is rarely necessary.

Propagation is best achieved through offsets or leaf cuttings. Allow offsets to dry for a day or two before potting them in well-draining soil. Leaf cuttings can also be taken and allowed to callus before planting.

Both methods are successful in spring.
