Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is detrimental, especially during the dormant season. In summer, provide water when the top few centimeters of soil are dry.

Cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature stems during the growing season and allowed to callus before planting in a well-draining medium.

Repot every 2-3 years, or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a gritty, well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent blend. Repot in spring before the active growing season begins.

Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
