Water consistently to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings.

Reduce watering slightly during cooler months, but avoid letting the plant dry out completely. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Prune to maintain shape, remove dead or damaged branches, and encourage bushier growth. Pinch back young shoots to promote branching.

Pruning can also be done to control size and remove any suckers that may emerge from the base of the plant.
