Water Lettuce thrives in consistently moist conditions. As an aquatic plant, it should be grown in shallow water or kept in a container with a water level that ensures its roots are submerged.

Avoid letting the water level drop too low, as this can stress the plant and lead to wilting.

Pruning is generally not necessary for Water Lettuce. However, if the plant becomes excessively dense and starts to overcrowd its space, or if any leaves yellow or die, they can be gently removed.

This helps maintain good air circulation and prevents the plant from becoming too leggy.

Water Lettuce propagates rapidly through runners (stolons) that emerge from the base of mature plants. These runners produce new plantlets, which can be detached once they have developed their own roots.

Simply allow them to float and grow, or transplant them to new locations.

As an aquatic plant, Water Lettuce does not require repotting in the traditional sense. It is typically grown floating in water.

If it outgrows its container or pond section, the excess can be thinned out by removing some of the plantlets and runners.
