Crassula aquatica thrives in consistently moist soil, mimicking its natural aquatic or semi-aquatic habitat. Water frequently to keep the substrate damp, but avoid waterlogging.

Reduce watering slightly in cooler periods, allowing the surface to dry a little between waterings, but never let it become completely parched.

Pruning is generally not necessary for Crassula aquatica unless you need to remove any dead or leggy growth. If plants become too dense or leggy, you can lightly trim them back to encourage a more compact form.

This can be done during the growing season.

Crassula aquatica can be easily propagated from stem cuttings. Simply take a small cutting, allow it to callous for a day or two, and then plant it in moist substrate.

It will root readily in a humid environment with bright, indirect light. Seeds can also be sown in moist soil.

Repotting is infrequent for this small succulent. Crassula aquatica prefers to be slightly root-bound. If repotting becomes necessary, usually after several years, do so in the spring.

Use a well-draining, gritty potting mix, and handle the delicate roots with care.
