Water regularly during establishment, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Once established, shore rosemary is very drought-tolerant.

Reduce watering significantly in cooler months, providing only enough to prevent complete desiccation. Overwatering can lead to root rot, especially in poor drainage.

Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Lightly trim to remove spent blooms and any straggly or damaged stems. For shaping, prune back about one-third of the current season's growth.

Avoid heavy pruning into old wood, as it may not regrow.

Propagation is best done from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in late spring or early summer. Dip cuttings in rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining medium.

Maintain consistent moisture and warmth until roots form, usually within 6-8 weeks. Success rates are generally high.

Repot young plants annually in spring to provide fresh potting mix and adequate space for root development. Mature plants are relatively slow-growing and do not require frequent repotting.

Choose a pot with excellent drainage. Overpotting can lead to waterlogged soil.
