Water regularly, especially during the first year after planting, to establish a strong root system. Once established, Spiraea betulifolia is quite drought-tolerant. Water deeply when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry.

Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Adjust watering based on rainfall and local conditions.

Prune after flowering in late spring or early summer to maintain shape and encourage reblooming. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches.
