Wild garlic prefers consistently moist soil, especially during its active growing season. Water thoroughly when the top centimeter of soil feels dry. Reduce watering once the plant begins to senesce after flowering.

Avoid waterlogging, which can lead to root rot. In drier climates, supplemental watering may be necessary.

Pruning is typically not required for wild garlic unless it is being cultivated as an edible or ornamental. Remove spent flower stalks to prevent unwanted self-seeding if desired.

Any yellowing or dead foliage can be tidied up after the plant has finished its active growth cycle.

Wild garlic primarily propagates through bulb offsets and bulbils (small aerial bulbs) produced in the flower heads. These bulbils can be collected and sown in situ or in pots.

Division of established clumps in late summer or early autumn after the foliage has died back is also an effective method.

Repotting is not a common practice for wild garlic, as it is often grown in situ or considered a perennial garden plant. If grown in containers and the plant appears overcrowded or has outgrown its pot, repot in late summer or early autumn into a slightly larger container with fresh, well-draining potting mix.
