Woodland Figwort prefers consistently moist soil but can tolerate occasional dryness once established. Water deeply when the top few centimeters of soil feel dry, especially during hot, dry periods.

Avoid waterlogging, as this can lead to root rot.

Prune back dead or damaged stems in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth. Deadheading spent flower stalks can prevent self-seeding if desired, though it is not essential for the plant's health.

Woodland Figwort can be propagated by division of established clumps in spring or autumn. It also readily self-seeds, so collecting seeds in autumn and sowing them in a cold frame can be an effective method.

Repotting is generally not necessary for Woodland Figwort as it is a perennial that thrives in established garden beds. If grown in a container, repot in spring every 2-3 years to refresh the soil and provide more space.
