Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogged roots, especially during hot weather. Reduce watering in cooler months when the plant's growth slows down.

Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to remove dead or damaged branches and to shape the plant. Pinch back tips to encourage bushier growth.

Remove spent flowers and any diseased foliage promptly to maintain plant health and encourage new blooms.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring, either directly outdoors or started indoors a few weeks prior. Cuttings can also be taken from healthy stems in late spring or early summer and rooted in moist soil or water.

Repot young plants annually in spring as they outgrow their containers. Mature plants may only need repotting every 2-3 years.
