Ludwigia erecta prefers consistently moist to wet soil. Water regularly, ensuring the substrate never dries out completely. In aquatic or bog setups, maintain a water level above the soil surface.

Reduce watering slightly in cooler months but avoid letting the soil become arid.

Prune Ludwigia erecta to maintain desired shape and encourage bushier growth. Trim back leggy stems just above a leaf node. Dead or damaged stems should be removed promptly.

Regular pruning also helps prevent the plant from becoming too tall and sparse, especially in container cultivation.

Propagation is easily achieved through stem cuttings. Take 5-10 cm cuttings from healthy stems and root them in water or moist potting mix. New plants will develop roots and foliage relatively quickly.
