Ensure good drainage to avoid waterlogging, which can be detrimental to the bulbs.

Remove spent flower stalks and any yellowing or dead foliage at the base of the plant. This helps maintain a tidy appearance and directs the plant's energy towards bulb development rather than seed production.

Pruning is generally minimal.

Propagate by dividing established clumps of bulbs after flowering or during the dormant season. Separate offsets from the parent bulbs and replant them.

Seeds can also be sown, but germination may be slow and flowering take longer.
