Remove spent flower stalks at their base once flowering has finished to prevent seed formation and direct energy back to the bulb. Allow the foliage to die back naturally in autumn before cutting it away, as this provides nutrients to the bulb for the next season's growth.

Propagate by offsets (small bulbs) that form around the mother bulb. Carefully separate these offsets during repotting in late summer or early autumn.

Alternatively, fresh seeds can be sown in spring, though this method is slower and may not produce flowering bulbs for several years.
