Water Arctotheca marginata thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.

Reduce watering frequency during the dormant winter months, allowing the soil to dry out more between waterings. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging.

Prune Arctotheca marginata to maintain its shape and encourage bushier growth. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to promote continuous blooming and prevent seed formation.

Light pruning can be done anytime to remove dead or damaged stems. Avoid heavy pruning, especially in late autumn.

Propagate Arctotheca marginata from seeds sown in spring or by taking stem cuttings in late spring or early summer. Seeds can be sown directly into pots or trays filled with well-draining compost.

Cuttings should be rooted in a moist, well-draining medium. Ensure adequate warmth and light.

Repot Arctotheca marginata when it becomes root-bound, typically every 2-3 years. Choose a pot that is one size larger than the current one, with ample drainage holes.

Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent blend. Repot in spring before the active growing season begins.
