Water moderately during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering significantly in winter to prevent root rot. Ensure good drainage to avoid waterlogging.

Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can also be done after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove spent flower stalks.

Propagate from seed sown in autumn or early spring, or by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require stratification. Cuttings should be rooted in a well-draining medium.

Repot young plants annually in spring. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years as needed, or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, and select a pot with adequate drainage holes.
