Water regularly, especially during dry spells, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings.

Reduce watering in winter when the plant is dormant, but do not let the soil become completely dry.

Prune after flowering to maintain shape and size, removing any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done to encourage bushier growth.

Avoid heavy pruning in late summer or autumn as it can stimulate new growth that may not harden off before winter.

Propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in mid-summer. Use a rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining compost in a propagator or cover with a plastic bag in a warm, bright location.

Seed propagation is also possible but may be slow and less reliable.

Repot young plants annually into slightly larger containers in spring. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years, or when root-bound. Use a well-draining loam-based potting mix.

Ensure adequate drainage holes in the pot.
