Water Digitalis X regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Reduce watering in winter when the plant is dormant to prevent root rot. Ensure good drainage in the pot.

Deadhead spent flower stalks of Digitalis X to encourage reblooming and prevent self-seeding if not desired. After flowering, you can cut back the main flower stalks to the base.

Remove any dead or damaged foliage at any time to maintain plant health and appearance.

Digitalis X can be propagated by seeds sown in spring or fall, or by division of established plants in early spring. Seedlings may take two years to flower.

Softwood cuttings can also be taken in late spring or early summer and rooted in moist medium.

Repot Digitalis X every 1-2 years, or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix. Spring is the ideal time to repot. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one.
