Water moderately when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging, especially during cooler months. Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings for established plants.

Reduce watering in winter.

Prune to shape the plant and remove any dead or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done after flowering to maintain form. Avoid heavy pruning, as it can stress the plant. Best done in late winter or early spring.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring or from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require stratification. Cuttings should be placed in well-draining soil and kept moist in a warm environment.

Repot young plants every 2-3 years, or when root-bound, preferably in spring. Use a well-draining potting mix.

Mature plants can be left in their pots for longer periods as they prefer slightly restricted root conditions.
