Water regularly, especially during dry spells, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering during winter dormancy.

Good drainage is crucial to prevent root rot.

Prune after flowering to shape the plant and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can encourage bushier growth.

Hard pruning is generally not recommended and should be done sparingly if necessary.

Propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in late summer or early autumn. Root cuttings in a well-draining medium, such as a mix of peat and perlite, in a warm, humid environment.

Seed propagation is also possible but may result in plants with variable characteristics.

Repot young plants every 2-3 years in spring, or when root-bound. Use a larger pot with a good quality, well-draining potting mix. Mature plants may only need repotting every 4-5 years.

Ensure the new pot has adequate drainage holes.
