Water Gaillardia X regularly during its establishment phase. Once mature, it tolerates drought well. Water deeply when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry, especially during prolonged dry spells.

Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming and maintain a tidy appearance.

In late autumn or early spring, cut back the plant by about one-third to one-half to promote vigorous new growth and maintain its shape. Remove any dead or diseased stems promptly.

Gaillardia X can be propagated by division of established clumps in early spring or autumn. Alternatively, seeds can be sown indoors in late winter or directly outdoors after the last frost.

Germination typically occurs within 2-3 weeks. Cuttings can also be taken in early summer.

Gaillardia X is best grown in the ground and generally does not require frequent repotting. If grown in containers, repot every 2-3 years in early spring into a slightly larger pot.
