Water consistently, especially during establishment and dry periods. Aim for moist, but not waterlogged soil. Reduce watering in winter. Check soil moisture by feeling the top few centimeters; water when dry.

Prune immediately after flowering to maintain shape and size, and to encourage more blooms next year. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches.

Harder pruning can be done in late winter for rejuvenation, but this will sacrifice the current season's flowers.

Easily propagated from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Dip the cut ends in rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining potting mix.

Keep moist and in a warm, humid location, ideally with bottom heat, until roots form.

Young plants may benefit from repotting every 1-2 years into a slightly larger container to refresh the soil and provide more space. Mature plants in the ground rarely need repotting.
