Water regularly during establishment, especially in dry periods. Once established, Kunzea amathicola is quite drought-tolerant. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent waterlogging.

Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage denser growth. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done anytime to manage size, but avoid heavy pruning into old wood.

Best propagated from seed sown in autumn or spring, or from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds require stratification. Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and placed in a well-draining medium.

Repot young plants every 1-2 years in spring as needed, typically when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably sandy or gritty. Avoid disturbing the roots excessively.
