Water Ornithogalum alpigenum thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering significantly during its dormant period in late summer or autumn.

Ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot, as these plants are susceptible to overwatering.

Remove spent flower stalks after blooming to encourage the plant to direct energy back into the bulb. Cut back any yellowing or dead foliage in late autumn or early winter as the plant goes dormant.

Avoid cutting green leaves before they naturally die back.
