Pentanema X prefers consistently moist soil but can tolerate short periods of drought. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid waterlogging, as this can lead to root rot.

Reduce watering frequency during winter dormancy.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage more blooms and maintain a tidy appearance. In late autumn or early spring, cut back the old foliage to about 5-10 cm above the ground.

This encourages new, vigorous growth and prevents disease.

Pentanema X can be propagated by division in early spring. Carefully dig up the plant and separate the root ball into sections, ensuring each section has healthy roots and shoots.

Replant divisions immediately into prepared soil or pots. It can also be grown from seed sown in spring.

Young plants may need repotting every 1-2 years, while mature plants can be left in place for longer. Repot in spring before new growth begins, using a well-draining potting mix.

Choose a pot only slightly larger than the current one to avoid excessive moisture retention.
