Water
Rhizoma peanut requires moderate watering. Allow the top 5-7 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when the plant shows signs of wilting, especially during hot, dry periods.
Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.

Watering, pruning, propagation, and repotting details from plant data
Rhizoma peanut requires moderate watering. Allow the top 5-7 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when the plant shows signs of wilting, especially during hot, dry periods.
Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.
Pruning is typically done to manage size, shape, or to remove dead or damaged foliage. For groundcover use, minimal pruning is needed. If it becomes too leggy, trim back by about one-third to encourage bushier growth.
This can be done in spring.
Rhizoma peanut is best propagated through division of its rhizomes or by stem cuttings. Rhizomes can be divided in early spring before new growth begins.
Stem cuttings can be taken during the growing season and rooted in moist soil or water.
Repotting is generally not necessary for plants grown in their native or desired landscape settings, as they spread via rhizomes. If grown in containers, repot when the plant becomes root-bound, typically every 2-3 years, into a slightly larger pot with fresh potting mix.
