Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done at any time to manage size.

Heavy pruning is best undertaken in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Best propagated from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer or autumn. Dip cuttings in rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining potting mix. Keep moist and humid until roots form.

Can also be grown from seed, but germination can be erratic.

Repot young plants annually in spring. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years, or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably a sandy loam. Handle the root ball gently to avoid damage.
