Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of rot for this succulent.

In winter, reduce watering significantly to mimic its natural dormant period, only watering when the soil is bone dry.

Prune to maintain shape or remove leggy stems. Cuttings from pruning can be used for propagation. Pruning is best done in the spring or early summer. Remove any dead or damaged foliage promptly to prevent disease.

Easily propagated from stem cuttings or leaf cuttings. Allow cuttings to callus for a few days before planting in well-draining soil. Roots will form within a few weeks. Water lightly once roots are established.

Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its container, preferably in spring. Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix. Choose a pot slightly larger than the previous one.

Ensure the pot has drainage holes.
