Celosia prefers consistently moist soil but dislikes waterlogging. Water deeply when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry to the touch, especially during hot, dry periods.

Reduce watering slightly in cooler weather or for indoor plants to prevent root rot. Ensure good drainage.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming and maintain a tidy appearance. Pinch back young plants to promote bushier growth and more flower production.

Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves to improve air circulation and plant health.

Celosia is easily propagated from seeds. Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, or directly outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Lightly cover seeds as they need light to germinate.

Cuttings are also possible but less common.

As an annual, Celosia typically does not require repotting unless started in very small containers. If growing in pots, ensure the initial container is adequately sized for its mature growth.

If a plant outgrows its pot before the end of the season, carefully transplant it to a slightly larger one.
