Light pruning can be done at any time, but major pruning is best performed after flowering to maximize bloom production and maintain desired form.

Propagate by seeds, which require warm temperatures and consistent moisture for germination. Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer, treated with rooting hormone, and kept in a humid environment until roots form.

Repot young trees every 1-2 years, or when root-bound, typically in spring. Use a well-draining potting mix. For mature trees, repotting may only be necessary every 3-5 years.
