Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering significantly during the dormant season, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.

Overwatering can lead to bulb rot, so ensure excellent drainage.

Remove spent flower stalks once blooming has finished to prevent seed production and redirect energy back to the bulb. Trim any yellowing or dead foliage as it appears. No significant structural pruning is required.

Propagate by offsets (daughter bulbs) removed during repotting. Gently separate them from the mother bulb. They can also be grown from seed, though this is a slower method and may not produce flowers for several years.

Repot every 2-3 years or when the bulbs become crowded, ideally in late summer or early autumn before new growth begins. Use a well-draining potting mix in a pot that allows for ample root development.
